Applications are invited for 246 posts of
Assistant Sub-Inspector of Excise under the Department of Excise, Govt. of West Bengal.
Recruitment to will be made through a Written Test followed by Physical Measurement Test
and Interview to be conducted by the West Bengal Staff Selection Commission:-
Name of the Post : Assistant Sub-Inspector of Excise
Number of Posts : 246 (Category wise vacancies are notified in Commission’s website)
Scale of Pay : Pay Band – 3 (Rs. 7,100/- - 37, 600/-) with Grade Pay: Rs. 3200/-
Minimum Qualification : Passed Higher Secondary Examination from the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent
Age limit : Not below 18 years and not more than 27 years as on 01.01.2013; relaxable as per existing Govt. Rules.
Women Candidates are not eligible to apply for the post.
Candidates should be of good mental and physical health and free from any physical deformity likely to interfere with efficient performance of their duties.

Date of Examination : 6th April, 2014 (Sunday)
Time of publishing result of Written Test : May, 2014
Period of Physical Measurement Test and Interview : June, 2014
Time of publishing Final Result : July, 2014
