2 Scientific Assistant (Biology) 01 General Should Possess : a) M.Sc. degree in Zoology or Botany or Micro Biology or Bio- Chemistry or Forensic Science or its equivalent from a recognized university or institution; and Should have passed: b) B.Sc. Examination from recognized university or institution with Zoology and Botany as one of the subject. c) Punjabi of Matric or its equivalent Standard.
3 Scientific Assistant (Chemistry) 01 General Should Possess : a) M.Sc. degree in Chemistry or Bio- Chemistry or Forensic Science or its equivalent from a recognized university or institution; and Should have passed: b) B.Sc. Examination from recognized university or institution with Chemistry as one of the subject. c) Punjabi of Matric or its equivalent Standard.
4 Scientific Assistant (Documents) 01 General Should Possess : a) M.Sc. degree in Physic or Chemistry or Forensic Science or its equivalent from a recognized university or institution; and Should have passed: b) B.Sc. Examination from recognized university or institution with Physics or Chemistry as one of the subject. c) Punjabi of Matric or its equivalent Standard.
5 Scientific Assistant (Photography ) 01 S.C. (Others) ESM/LDESM, Pb. Should Possess : a) M.Sc. degree in any subject from a recognized university or institution and should possesses B.Sc. degree with one of the subject as physics ; and Should have passed: b) B.Sc. degree from recognized university or institution with Physics and two years diploma in Scientific Photography. c) Punjabi of Matric or its equivalent Standard.

8 Scientific Assistant (Teaching) 03 General- 01 Balmiki/ Mazhbi Sikh, Pb. -01 B.C. Pb. -01 Should Possess : a) M.Sc. degree in Physics or Chemistry or Botany or Zoology or Bio-Chemistry or Micro Biology or Forensic Science or its equivalent from a recognized university or institution ; b) Punjabi of Matric or its equivalent Standard .
AGE: (i) Candidate should not be below 18 years and above 38 years of age on 01-01-2013. (ii) Upper age limit may be relaxed upto 45 years for all States/ Central Government employees. (iii) The Upper age limit may be relaxed upto 43 years for Scheduled Castes of all States and Backward Classes of Punjab only. (iv) Ex-servicemen of Punjab Domicile shall be allowed to deduct the period of his service in the Armed Forces of Union from his actual age and if the resultant age does not exceed the maximum age limit prescribed for direct appointment to such a vacancy in the Service Rules concerned by more than three years, he shall be deemed to satisfy the condition regarding age limit. (v) Upper age limit may be relaxed upto 42 years for Widows, Divorcees and certain other Categories of Women. (vi) Upper age limit may be relaxed upto 48 years for Physically Handicapped of Punjab.
