Pay Scale (S-3 Regular Grade) – Rs. 9160/-3%-13150/- Regular Grade on successful completion of two years of training.

Mechanical Electrical Civil Instrumentation Metallurgy Chemical Ceramics Electronics & Telecom Survey/Civil# # Candidates opting for survey stream may have a full time 3 year Diploma in Survey or Civil Engineering from Govt. recognized institution iii) Physical Standards : Candidates will be required to meet requisite physical standard laid down by Company for being considered for the post: - Parameter Required Standard

Height 155 cms 143 cms Weight 45 Kgs 35 Kgs Chest Measurement 75 cms, On expansion: 79 cms 70 cms, On expansion: 75 cms Eye – i) Vision ( Myopia/ Hypermetropia) ii) Colour Vision 6/9 Both eyes (with or without glasses) Power glass (if worn): not more than + 2.5 D Normal. Before applying candidates must ensure that they possess the above mentioned Physical Standards. Selection of candidates is subject to being found medically fit by the medical officer of the Company as per prescribed rules of the company.
RELAXATIONS ;
Upper Age Limit: Relaxable by 5 years, 5 years & 3 years for candidates belonging to SC, ST & OBC (Non-creamy layer) respectively with respect to posts reserved for them. Relaxation in age to Persons with Disabilities and Ex-Serviceman shall be as per Government directives. Those domiciled in the state of Jammu & Kashmir from 1/1/80 to 31/12/89 will be allowed 5 years relaxation in upper age limit. For departmental candidates, the upper age limit shall be 33 years.
SELECTION PROCEDURE ;
Eligible candidates will be required to appear in Written Examination. On the basis of their performance in the Written Examination they will be called for Interview. Information for Written test and Interview will be provided on our website www.sail.co.in.
TRAINING & PROBATION:
Candidates selected as Operator-cum-Technician Trainee will be placed on training for a period of 2 Years which may be extended by another two years as per requirement. On successful completion of training period, they shall be regularized as Operator-cum-Technician in S-3 Grade. After successful completion of Training, Candidates shall be placed under probation for 1 year.
EMOLUMENTS AND OTHER BENEFITS Candidates selected as Operator-cum-Technician Trainee will be paid consolidated Pay of Rs. 10700/- pm during 1st year of training and Rs. 12200/-pm during the 2nd year of training. During the period of 2 years training, trainees will also get Medical facility for self , spouse and dependent children. Leave etc will be as per the rules of the company.
The emoluments for the post of Operator-cum-;
Technician on confirmation after 2 years of training will include basic pay, dearness allowance, reimbursement of local travelling expenses and other facilities such as medical facility for self and family, provident fund, gratuity, LTC, etc., as per rules of the company. In addition, House Rent Allowance will be paid only where company accommodation is not available.
