Name : Assistant Professor – Veda. No. of Post : One (Gen) Pay Scale : Rs. 15600-39100 + AGP Rs. 6000 Fixed Pay for first 5 years : 7500/PM -:Eligibility Essential:- 1. Good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a 7 point scale wherever grading system is followed) in the Acharya/Master's Degree in Veda with the specialization of Atharva Veda from an Indian University or it’s equivalent degree. 2. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET in Veda. 3. Opted Sanskrit Methodology as one of the methodologies at Shiksha Shastri / B.Ed. 4. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET in Education / Shiksha Shastra. 5. Knowledge of at least three scripts of manuscripts such as Brahmi, Nandi, Nagari, Sharda, Grantha etc., 6. Ability to undertake research projects in Sanskrit besides experience in organizing workshop, Seminars , Conference etc. 7. Ability to carry out official duties related to the research center.
Insructions to the candidates. 1. Applicants should send their applications in the given prescribed format of application available in the University Web-Site. 2. Last date for receiving applications in the University is 09.12.2013. Applications received after due date will summarily be rejected. Postal delay cannot be cited as reason. 3. Applications should be sent only through Registered post with ack.due / speedpost. Direct submission or sending through courier is not permitted. 4. A D.D. for rupees 500/ from a Scheduled Bank (Rupees 250/ In the case of S.C./S.T.) must be sent along with the application form for each post in favour of “Registrar, Shree Somnath Sanskrit University, Veraval” payable at Veraval – Gujarat. 5. Probation period for all posts will be two years. 6. All rights are reserved with the University to fill or not to fill or partially fill the advertised posts. S.C. & S.T. candidates should attach cast certificate obtained from competent authority. 8. O.B.C. candidates should produce cast and Non-Creamy-Layer certificate for the concerned period from a competent authority. 9. No T.A. / D.A. will be paid to attend the interview. 10.
