Applications are invited for the below mentioned posts.
The last date for receipt of applications in the office of the Commission is 02.01.2014.
1. Casa J.D. Fernandes Stationery Supplier, Printers & Book Binders, Opposite Municipal Garden, Panaji, are authorized to sell the prescribed application form @ ` 20/- per set. Candidate can also download and use the application form available at GPSC website. The Commission does not take the responsibility of supplying application forms by post. Candidates should see the GPSC website for latest updated “Instructions”.
2. Candidates shall note that the Application Fee is enhanced to ` 400/- for General Category Candidates and those for SC, ST, OBC, Physically Handicapped and Ex-serviceman, it is 50% of the Application Fee i.e. ` 200/-.
3. Incomplete applications in any manner are liable to be rejected summarily by the Commission.
4. The upper age limit shown against each post is relaxable upto 5 years for the candidates belonging to SC/ST, upto 3 years for candidates belonging to OBC, upto 5 years (total 10 years for SC/ST & 8 years for OBC in respect of posts reserved for them) to blind, deaf-mute and orthopedically handicapped person and upto 5 years for CFF. Age is also relaxable for Government Servants upto 5 years as per the instructions issued by the Government from time to time.
5. In case of non-availability of suitable candidates with the knowledge of Konkani, for the posts in professional colleges, Consultants in Directorate of Health Services and highly technical/scientific posts, this requirement can be relaxed. 6. Prescribed EQs are minimum & mere possession of same does not entitle the candidates to be called for interview. Where number of applications received is large, the Commission will short list the candidates to be called for interview as mentioned in the “Instructions”.

Scale of pay: Rs. 15,600-39,100+6,000/-
Age: Not exceeding 42 years.
Educational & Other Qualifications:-
Essential: (i) Good Academic record with at least 55% of marks or equivalent grade at Master’s Degree level in the relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a foreign University. (ii) National Eligibility Test (NET)/State Level Eligibility Test (SET) shall remain the compulsory requirement for appointment as Assistant Professor. Provided, however, that candidates, who are or have been awarded Ph.D. degree in compliance of the “University Grants Commission (minimum standards and procedure for award of Ph.D. Degree), Regulation 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Colleges”. (iii) Knowledge of Konkani. Desirable: (i) Ph.D. or M.Phil in the relevant subject. (ii) Knowledge of Marathi.
II. TOWN & COUNTRY PLANNING DEPARTMENT
2. Dy. Town Planner .…1 post (resvd for ST) (2nd time)
Scale of pay: Rs. 15,600-39,100+5,400/- Age: Not exceeding 42 years. Educational & Other Qualifications:-
Essential: (i) Degree in Regional/Town Planning from a recognised University/ Institution or equivalent. (ii)
2 years experience in a Planning or architectural office. (iii) Knowledge of Konkani. Desirable: (i) Associateship of the Institute of Town Planners (India) or equivalent membership of a professional Institution. (ii) Experience in the preparation of development plans (iii) Knowledge of Marathi.
Note ;
1: Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the G.P.S.C. in case of candidates otherwise well qualified. Note 2: The qualification(s) regarding experience is/are relaxable at the discretion of the G.P.S.C. in the case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes if, at any stage of selection, the G.P.S.C. is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the vacancies reserved for them.
