SSC(MPR) DATA ENTRY SKILL TEST /TYPE WRITING TEST - 10TH TO 13TH APRIL, 2014 -CHSL EXAMINATION, 2013


VENUE : MATS UNIVERSITY CAMPUS, PANDRI BUS STAND, PANDRI, RAIPUR (CG). 

DATES / REPORTING TIME :10TH TO 13TH APRIL, 2014-1 HR. BEFORE TIME OF EXAM. 

 CANDIDATES ARE REQUIRED TO BRING THE ATTESTATION FORM (DULY FILLED) IN TRIPLICATE AT THE TIME OF SKILL TEST ALONGWITH OTHER DOCUMENTS MENTIONED IN THE INSTRUCTIONS. 

 INSTRUCTION TO THE CANDIDATES FOR DATA ENTRY SKILL TEST /TYPE WRITING TEST 

 1. Candidates are required to report to the Supervisor one-hour before the commencement of the test.

 2. Candidates are required to bring attested copies of the following certificate/documents along with the originals thereof at the time of typewriting test failing which they may not be admitted to the test. i) Matric or equivalent certificate in support of date of birth,( Not the Admit Card of High School/Matric Examination. ii) Mark Sheets and Certificate of Graduation or equivalent examination, in support of educational qualification(s).as required in Notice of Examination for various posts. iii) SC/ST/ExS/OBC certificate in the prescribed Central Government format issued by the competent authority. Candidate claiming OBC status may note that certificate on creamy-layer status should have been obtained within three years before the DEST/Type Test date. iv) “No Objection” certificate if you are a Central Government Civilian Employee and have claimed age relaxation. NOC is not required if no age relaxation is sought. Candidates working in private sector or PSUs need not produce NOC. iv) Four copies of recent passport size photographs (to be pasted on the admission certificate etc).Any other certificate/document in support of claims made by candidate.

 3. Traveling and other expenses must be borne by the candidates themselves.

 4. The Commission will provide the Computer for the test. Skill Test for Data Entry Operator : a) The skill test will be taken on computers. b) The ‘Data Entry Speed’ Skill Test would be qualifying in nature. Candidates allowed to take this test, will have to qualify the test at the prescribed speed on computer, to be provided by the Commission or the agency authorized by the Commission to conduct such skill test at the centre/venue so notified. c) None of the candidates including PH candidates who qualify in the written part of the examination will be exempted from the skill test as passing of the skill test is pre-condition and one of the essential qualification for appointment to the post of Data Entry Operator. d) Only such candidates who qualify in the skill test at a speed of not less than 8,000 key depressions per hour will be eligible for being recommended for appointment as per their position in the merit list. e) The duration of the said skill test will be 15 (fifteen) minutes and printed matter in English containing about 2,000 - 2200 strokes/key depressions would be given to each candidate who would enter the same in the computer. Skill Test for LDC : a) The skill test will be taken on computer. b) Typing test will be qualifying in the nature and will be conducted only in English or in Hindi. English Typing @ 35 w.p.m. (Time allowed 10 minutes) (30 minutes for VH candidates) Hindi Typing @ 30 w.p.m. (Time allowed 10 minutes) (30 minutes for VH candidates). (35 w.p.m. and 30 w.p.m. corresponds to 10500 Key Depressions Per Hour/ 9000Key Depressions Per Hour on an average of 5 Key Depressions for each word).

 5. The candidates will be required to take their seat ten minutes before commencement of the Test. If the computer goes out of order, the candidate should not shout or disturb others, but should remain seated quietly and inform the Invigilator.
